AQUACONSULT: Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Company Headquarters in Traiskirchen

During a joint groundbreaking ceremony attended by company representatives and regional political figures, AQUACONSULT Anlagenbau announced the commencement of construction for its new headquarters in Traiskirchen (Lower Austria). The company is investing over four million euros in this long-established site, expanding its production and R&D capacities, among other improvements. The planning phase for the new construction is already complete, and the building is expected to be finished by the end of 2025.

Representing the owner company SANKI ENGINEERING from Japan, President Hirokazu Ishida and Director Kazuaki Iijima attended the ceremony. Other distinguished guests included Japan’s Ambassador to Austria, Kiminori Iwama, Traiskirchen’s Mayor Sabrina Divoky, and Lower Austrian State Parliament Member Christoph Kainz.

Expanded R&D with modern test tank

The new headquarters will primarily offer new office spaces and storage areas, along with a larger and more comprehensively equipped R&D department. A key addition to the facility will be a modern test tank for further developing the efficient AEROSTRIP diffusers. "With this, we will be able to test our products and developments year-round under various conditions," explains AQUACONSULT Managing Director Gerald Glaninger. "This will enable us to optimize our solutions for every application and continuously advance our leadership in energy and CO₂ savings—an edge that has made us a key player in aeration technology." AQUACONSULT has become a "hidden champion" in wastewater treatment technology, supplying its energy-efficient AEROSTRIP diffusers to numerous wastewater treatment plants worldwide. Energy and CO₂ savings are also central to AQUACONSULT’s manufacturing process. Part of the investment was allocated to a photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the existing hall, which has been generating clean energy for over a year. The facility’s 376 PV modules produce approximately 164.82 MWh of solar power annually. "This allows us to fully generate the energy required for AEROSTRIP production and charging our EV company vehicles through our own solar power plant," says Glaninger. "We take great pride in calling AQUACONSULT an energy-neutral aerator manufacturer!" 

Mission: Climate friendly waster-water management

AQUACONSULT is committed to making a significant contribution to climate-friendly water management in the future. Energy consumption in wastewater treatment is a key issue in the industry. Based on current technology, wastewater treatment accounts for about 1.5% of a country’s total energy consumption. Aeration in the biological treatment stage alone is responsible for more than half of a treatment plant’s energy demand.
AEROSTRIP fine bubble diffusers stand out for their high energy efficiency and above-average lifespan.
